PM Modi to launch drive to fill 10 lakh posts in government, PSUs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Rozgar Mela, the drive to recruit 10 lakh personnel in government and PSUS as announced by him in June.
At the inauguration of the drive, scheduled to be held on October 22, Mr. Modi will hand over appointment letters to 75,000 new appointees. He had instructed Departments to fill the vacancies by 2023.
A release from the Prime Minister’s Office said the drive will be a significant step forward towards fulfilling the continuous commitment of Mr. Modi to provide job opportunities for the youth and ensuring welfare of citizens.
“As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode,” it added.
The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join 38 Ministries/Departments of the Centre at various levels. “The posts on which appointments are being made include Central Armed Force Personnel, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspectors, MTS, among others. For expeditious recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech enabled,” it said.
